FOYOPACT “Fostering Youth Participation for Civic Transformation” a youth exchange program between CEMCOD (Uganda) and Plumtree Development Trust (Zimbabwe) expanded opportunities for 6 young people to participate in decision making processes and public life and empowered them to transition from a culture of exclusion, silence and limitation to one of inclusion and effective participation.
Creating space for youths from two or more countries to work together can help to identify new ideas, new ways of working and connections to help solve familiar and emerging challenges. This exchange program hinged on the realization that in young people we have a huge resource that needs to be engaged, nurtured and supported to become the positive agents and catalysts of change and leaders of society.
