On Thursday 28th August 2025, a group of youth and leaders from Jinja City convened at Jinja City Hall for the African Climate Creative Showcase. This initiative founded by Aspire Climate Vanguard, partnered with CEMCOD and DiG-Y Hub to host youth to showcase their creative climate ideas and projects they are implementing in their communities.

Pitches and Presentations
This event coincided with other creative climate showcases across Africa and the intention is to show how the youth are using digital skills and their creativity to address climate challenges. The use of digital platforms to disseminate, educate and inform their communities stood out from many of the submissions presented.
Another key aspect shared was how the youth integrated the community to find solutions. Communities coming together to clean the environment and mobilise each other to prevent waste degredation is key for a green environment. Mobilisation is a strong trait to have when seeking solutions to climate challenges.
